Study Environment

Most comprehensive teaching environment with 5640 square feet of simulated workplace environment of factory specifications

In order to provide exapnsive space and more baking equipment, Chef Siew Cake Art & Culinary Sdn Bhd has spent a fortune to buy over a shop lot in Jalan Gopeng, Ipoh (opposite Guanyin Cave), as the teaching block.

The academy is located in Jalan Gopeng in Ipoh, Perak. With a total built-up area of 5640 square feet, the teaching block is divided into a few storeys, with 5 air-conditioned classrooms—baking-only room, dessert decoration room, sugar craft & chocolate room, cake decoration and so on.

All classrooms come with hot and cold water fitting, and simulate workplace environment to a high degree to help students adapt to actual workplace upon graduation.

We make the classroom a workplace kitchen to get students accustomed to actual working environment

The academy is divided into two types of air-conditioned classrooms. The first is the theory classroom, in which various baking machines, instruments and equipment are introduced to familiarize students with their uses. The other classroom is a simulation of a workplace kitchen. For instance, there is a stainless steel central table to mimic the actual workplace environment.

Psychologists point out that the environment exerts a great impact on the body and the mind, especially in the processes of learning and habit-forming. Turning classrooms into workplace kitchens not only allows students to develop a tacit understanding of working together but also helps to adapt them psychologically and habitually to the workplace. The aim is to get rid of environmental disparity so that they can perform much better in the eyes of their employers.
